i’m a graphic designer too, this makes me laugh and it makes me cry. i wish clients could see this and see themselves in it.
I have these exact conversations every day! I’d cry laughing if it weren’t so true.
Love this video! I’ll definitely consider referring others to this video…
Some of the people I deal with are even worse than this.
daily business
this is exactly what happens! very well shown!
i’m a web designer. i definately, DEFINATELY have to put this on every single site i own.
Bravo Bravo Bravo
Fear God and Depart from Evil(Proverbs 3:7)! Repent or perish(Luke 13:5)! God is ANGRY with the wicked everyday! Psalm 7:11 The wicked shall be turned into Hell Psalm 9:17 There is coming a day when God will judge the world in RIGHTEOUSNESS Acts 17:31! The FOOL hath said in his heart there is no God Psalm 14:1! JESUS CHRIST is the ONLY WAY! HE IS THE WAY, THE TRUTH AND THE LIFE, NO ONE COMES TO GOD BUT BY JESUS CHRIST(JOHN 14:6)! REPENT AND SUBMIT 2 JESUS CHRIST TODAY! Proverbs 29:1
@zilchowned No, in a lot of cases it’s called “breach of contract.”
I can related to this as a business owner LOL…. Some people will try anything eh?
I was in the process of writing my weekly blog article. I was up all night with ideas running through my head, but I knew what I was going to write about: The Web Designer – Client Relationship. I stumbled on your video – what a match! I’ll definitely be referring to this! Bravo – you conveyed my thoughts in 2:19!
From one video production firm to another: this video is GENIOUS!
I love this video! Brilliant.
GOD DAMN all of my clients that pull this sh*t with me. I raise your bill 10X times to make up for your utter stupidity. F*CK them in there stupid negotiating asses – Love DrQXX
EXACTLY! Very true!!
Lol the ending “Okay…. We’ll pay for it this time, but you have to show us how you did it… So we can do it on our own from now on 8|;;”
God I wish that I could show this to all my clients… Pay full price for photography? Hugh I like to eat to…
It ticks me off sometimes when I see actual good illustration on iStock. I don’t care how much it earns, you’re still telling the world that the weekend you spent in Illustrator is now the artistic equivalent to a bag of chips.
It’s that sort of thing that makes clients like these think they can dick us around. “Oh, I’m willing pay you $50 and let you keep copyright, you should be thanking me!”
Sounds like stock photography
The daily life of a creative person. I appreciate that I can forward this to my clients… THANK YOU.
This is awesome, very very true to form. Now you just need to do one where they expect to take the product home and pay for it later, IF THEY LIKE IT!
Happens all the time when sales dept sells or oversells the product and then support has to clean up the promises.
The corporate-speak is priceless. Great video!
Thank you, thank you, thank you! Finally, someone showcases the lunacy that I go through at least once a week – especially the last line: Okay, I’ll pay for it, provided you show me how to do it, so I can do it myself next time. Un-fucking-believable, except that it happens over and over. I don’t tutor for free. I don’t tutor, period.
I am sure these kinds of situations happen where the customer tries to nickle and dime the vendor but in my experience with government contracts is that it’s the exact opposite. Vendors constantly charge outrageous prices for hardware, assign “value” to nonexistent services, cramming charges, etc.
