@AziZune It was called “G-Spot”, just your basic flam accent variation exercise. They played something similiar in 1990; they had flam-five flaflas in their snare break, so they threw it at the end of their shopping spree (or vice versa). Two years later, they threw in that nice little groove at the end and rocked out.
yea, cavies play flam i am
@AziZune It is not Flam I Am. it appears to be a stock flam variation exercise.
@rootbeerazor Correct me if I’m wrong, but I think its called, Flam I Am
wow, what ever that flam excersize is that the snare are playing at 1:31 is awsome
Awesome
watch the binarys on the timp toms……
@zace98 hell yea
This show kicked all sorts of ass. Too bad its not posted.
weak tenor solo in electric wheelchair
It’s really too bad they had such a rammin’ book; they ended up not getting rewarded on the field for the talent they put out there. This really was the bookend of ramma-jamma-fighter-pilot lines.
Don’t forget Mike Apodoca and Matt Altmire on the quad line. Dudes are awesome. I had the pleasure of being under the instruction of both of them. Altmire in 2006 and Apodoca in 2007. Really cool dudes!
murray gusseck? hahahaha
@Papermate123123 His name is Scotty Sells. Aged out in 1991. He was our Tympanist. Was hired as the pit instructor for 92
Who is the instructor talking at the very beginning (and at a few spots throughout the video)?
probabaly one of the best snare lines i’ve ever seen….they really set the standerd of drum corp..
notice the guy with the blue windbreaker on at 2:07? it’s scott johnson. he was with SCV from 91-93. you can spot that mullet anywhere.
Far right, if you are looking at the line… pretty sure…
I’ve seen the sheets…it was called “G-Spot”, but I’m sure it was called something generic, too, like “Shopping Spree ’92″. Check out the vids from the Finals warmup…you can see all the sections play it. Pretty sweet.
what exercise was the first one the snares played in the dark????
“How you guys doin’ today?”, “Suck’n dick.” Lol….
“oh boys, hit it!” lmao
that guy who keeps talking between clips is hilarious
so many great exercises/cadences played so well…yet the reason I watch it so many times is still “suckin dick” XD every time
uhh i need 2 start drum lessons so i can get that good
