As for whingers about Profesionalism, today’s Lions wouldn’t go a tour without a court- even Woodward isn’t that tightarsed.
In fact looking at the squad again from 05′ there were a few good lads surpressed by Woodward eg. Martin Williams, Gordon Bulloch, Will Greenwood! I don’t think them being gym freaks is much to do with it. Just my opinion

Mate it’s not just the Lions. Professionalism brought the age of the boring gym bunny. Interesting people who play professional rugby are very few and far between. Infact the only ones left are those from the Amateur era
